AUTHOR GUIDELINES


Conference Format

GCEDS uses author-supplied PDFs for all online and print publication. Authors must prepare their papers using Microsoft Word or LaTeX, and then convert these files to PDF.

Submissions are accepted in Arabic, English, French, Spanish and Portuguese. The GCEDS-2024 encourages the following types of submissions:

  1. Abstracts: Abstract should not have more than 600 words.
  2. Extended Abstract: The Extended Abstract is a work in progress research or project that is not yet completed. The extended abstract should not exceed 2 pages (including introduction, body of knowledge and conclusion, supported by not more than 10 references).
  3. Full Research Paper: Completed research papers in any of the topic areas listed or related areas. This is a completed research work or project. A total of 5 to 10 pages for a paper including all figures, tables, and references.
  4. Student Papers: Research done by students in any of the topic areas listed above, or related areas. A total of 3 to 6 pages for a student paper including all figures, tables, and references.
  5. Case Studies: Case studies in any of the topic areas listed above, or related areas. Case studies should not exceed 4 pages including introduction, body of knowledge and conclusion, supported by not more than 10 references.
  6. The PDF file is editable and not password protected.
  7. All pages are portrait (landscape pages should be rotated).
  8. Reference lists are checked for accuracy. References can only be linked via Crossref if they are correct and complete.
  9. Work-in-Progress (Reports or Proposals for Future Research): Incomplete research or ideas for future research in order to generate discussion and feedback in any of the topic areas listed above, or related areas. A total of 4 to 6 pages for a work-in-progress reports or proposals for future research including all figures, tables, and references.
  10. Reports on Issues Related to Teaching: Reports related to innovative instruction techniques or research related to teaching in any of the topic areas listed above or related areas. The reports should not exceed 5 pages including introduction, body of knowledge and conclusion, supported by not more than 10 references.

Presentation Format

Oral presentation - Take an advantage of oral presentation of your paper/ research on site and get the first hand remarks and comments from the audience. Encourage a live discussion regarding the presented topic and network with other researchers and academics in the field of education and related areas, from around the globe.

Poster presentation - Participants will get familiar with your research/ paper through poster exhibition which will be available in the conference’s venue during the entire length of the program. Presenters will have an opportunity to discuss and explain their research in direct contact to the audience.

Poster sessions: All posters will be displayed in the open area around to the registration desk.

Notes: Equipment that will be provided by the conference and setup in all presentation rooms (excluding poster sessions):

  1. Laptop*
  2. LCD projector
  3. White board
  4. Microphone and sound system
  5. Internet access
  6. Printing facilities

Please note that all electronic files should be written on CD ROM or USB flash drive.
